Privacy notice.
How the Ring Side Leads website handles the details you send us.
Draft for qualified review. This notice has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer or privacy professional. Items in [square brackets] are confirmed at launch. Version: privacy-draft-2026-10-19c.
Who we are
This website is operated by Paul Rammeloo, doing business as Ring Side Leads ("we", "us"), 51075 Falls Court, Chilliwack, BC V4Z 1K7, British Columbia, Canada. Paul Rammeloo is responsible for personal information handled by Ring Side Leads. Questions or requests about your personal information: [email protected].
What this notice covers
The website ringsideleads.com and its market-assessment request form. The form is for businesses and their staff, not for their customers, and the site is not directed to children. If you become a client, a separate written agreement covers personal information handled in your programme. If we add another way to collect personal information on this site, we will update this notice before using it.
What we collect
When you send an assessment request, we collect what you enter:
- your name, business name, work email and, if you give them, business website and phone number
- your industry (and, if you chose Other, how you describe it), who you sell to, the markets you serve, your current enquiry sources, your monthly capacity and who follows up enquiries
- anything you write in the "what would you like to change" box
- the date and time of the request, and the version of this notice you agreed to
To limit abuse, we also record a keyed one-way hash of your connection's IP address and the date, made with a secret key. It is kept apart from your request, is never linked to it, and is deleted automatically after 24 hours. Our site code does not store the IP address itself; our hosting provider records technical request data under its own policy (see below). This hash is pseudonymous, not anonymous: anyone holding the secret key could check whether a known address sent a request that day.
Please don't send your customers' details, or financial, health or other sensitive information, through the form.
Why we collect it
Only to review your business and reply to your request with an assessment, and to keep a record that you asked. When a request is saved, a notification containing it is emailed to Ring Side Leads at [email protected] so a person can read it and reply. The email is sent through Brevo, a transactional email service, and that address forwards it to a Google Gmail mailbox used by Ring Side Leads. We do not add you to a promotional email list. If we ever want to send you marketing or promotional email, we will first ask for the consent the law requires.
Cookies, storage and analytics
This version of the site uses no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts, and the site's own code sets no cookies. If you switch the homepage scroll animation off or on, your browser saves that choice on your device under the name rsl-scroll-animation. It is never sent to us, and you can remove it by clearing this site's data in your browser. If any of this changes, this notice will be updated first and, where required, we will ask for your consent.
Who processes it for us
We do not sell or rent your information. These service providers handle it for us: Cloudflare runs the website and the database that stores requests [database location confirmed at launch]; Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France) sends the notification email; Cloudflare Email Routing forwards it, and Google's Gmail holds the forwarded copy. They may store or process it outside Canada, including in the United States and Europe, where foreign laws apply. Cloudflare also records technical request data, such as IP address and time, for its own operations under its own privacy policy. We may disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Your request: 365 days from the day it arrives, then deleted automatically by a scheduled job that runs every hour. This applies even if you become a client; your agreement sets how long we keep information handled under it.
- The anti-abuse hash: 24 hours, then deleted automatically by the same job.
- The notification email: email is not deleted automatically. We delete notification emails from the mailbox by hand once they are 365 days old, checking at least once a month. Gmail keeps deleted messages in its bin for up to 30 days before removing them. Brevo keeps its own records of sent emails for a limited period under its policy [Brevo retention period confirmed at launch].
- Backups and logs: the database provider keeps point-in-time recovery copies for up to 30 days, so a deleted request can remain in those copies for that long. Our code does not write what you enter into logs. The hosting provider records technical request data, such as IP address and time, under its own policy.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or withdraw your consent, by writing to [email protected]. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request. We will respond within the time British Columbia privacy law requires (generally 30 business days). If your concern is not resolved with us, you may contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia [whether the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada applies instead is confirmed in legal review].
Security
The form is sent over an encrypted connection, and browser submissions are only accepted from this website's own pages. Access to stored requests is limited to the people who reply to them. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach of security safeguards involving your personal information occurs and the law requires notice, we will notify you and the applicable privacy regulator.
Changes
We will post any change here with a new version and date. Effective date: [date of launch].
